I am planning on majoring in either Journalism or Psychology hopefully at Vanderbilt, The College of Charleston, or another I have yet to choose. When I get the chance I love to go fishing and one of my favorite moments I’ve ever experienced was when I went deep sea fishing off the coast of South Carolina. I am currently working on my mom’s old ’87 Camaro, trying to get it back to the standards it used to be held at. My free time is largely controlled by my AP classes, AP US History being particularly difficult. I like to learn how things work and have been interested in writing since around 7th grade.

Hi, my name is Crystal Roop. I am a Senior at Chapin High School. I am adopted and work at Auntie Anne’s. I will be 18 in November, can’t wait. I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters. One brother is my biological brother. The others are my adopted brothers and sisters. I have a niece on the way, to come in March. I have been with my boyfriend for two years and I’m in love. I love my life and everyone in it.

Ashley Sears is a current junior at Chapin High School. She works at Hite’s Outdoor Supply and has just celebrated the fact that she has been a vegetarian for a full year. She’s environmentally-friendly and constantly stuck in giggle mode. Ashley plans to major in photography and then end up in a random podunk town in the middle of nowhere where she plans to forever enjoy Starbucks coffee. She loves nature, her mind-blowinly awesometastic friends, texting, not doing homework, pandas and saving baby turtles. Her dislikes include her piece-of-crap car, waking up in the mornings, yellow paint on pencils and the price of car insurance.

I am Jessica and I’m a senior here at the wonderful establishment that is our Chapin High School. This is my first year on the newspaper though I worked on the literary magazine in the past. I love anything and everything to do with the lake, especially wakeboarding. I have two of the cutest kittens ever known to man and a bird they love to tease. I have an undebatable hate of country music, pogo sticks, bacon, and all math more advanced than 2 + 2.

Hey, I’m Jacob Lebar and I am a Senior at Chapin High School. I am 17 years old and I have been on the Chapin Claw staff for 3 years now. I have two siblings, one brother and one sister. I am a lifelong fan of newspapers and journalism. My interests include sports, comedic movies, and politics. I will be attending the University of South Carolina starting in the Fall of 2010 and plan on double majoring in Political Science and Economics.
